Face-to-Face Sessions

Privacy, connection and comfort…This is what you can expect when you attend our therapy clinic.

Even though online therapy is effective, for many people it is being present in the room with your therapist enhances the magic of the therapeutic relationship.

Face-to-face counselling draws on all the senses allowing for the full potential of non verbal communication between two people.

Benefits Of Face-to-Face Sessions

Although online therapy is just as effective, for many people, in-person face to face therapy is the preferred option. It’s not difficult to understand why. Seeing a therapist in person gives you the opportunity to experience the warmth and closeness of a therapeutic relationship, which in turn makes it feel safer and easier to express your deeper concerns. In fact, many studies have shown that the effectiveness of therapy is based primarily around the quality of the therapeutic relationship, with the therapy techniques themselves being secondary.

When you come to our clinic, our professional therapists will make you feel at ease from the outset. You can then take your time to describe the issues that have brought you to therapy, secure in the knowledge that you are in experienced and skilful hands. A lot of clients who have never experienced therapy before report their surprise at how comfortable they feel by the end of their first session, even though they may have been highly anxious to begin with.

For some clinical problems, such as those involving social anxiety or certain forms of PTSD and Trauma, the act of meeting a therapist in person is part of the path to better functioning and recovery. Just by having the experience of sitting with a therapist, safe, without judgement or negativity, our clients are able to engage in the work necessary to get themselves to where they want to be.
